Albrecht Route - Challenge the Alps by bike
Crossing the Alps by mountain bike: a daydream for every passionate cyclist. The most famous route, the one that makes hearts beat faster, is the legendary Albrecht Route with all its surprising variations.
Departure and arrival remain the same, in an unforgettable journey: it starts near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, at the foot of the Fern Pass, to arrive on the shores of Lake Garda.
The original itinerary, the most adventurous, can be completed in 7 days of pure adrenaline, in 487 kilometers that seem to never end, with 11,921 meters of altitude difference that will take you to the top of the world. It was Andreas Albrecht, back in 2004, who was the first to travel this road, paving the way for what is now considered one of the most beautiful alpine cycle paths in Europe. There are many variants of the original itinerary, for all levels of experience and physical preparation: an alternative route is the one in 6 stages and 6 days, also suitable for children, by racing bike or pedal-assisted e-bike.
